Spacecraft Description
Megha-Tropiques is a joint program between ISRO and CNES for the atmospheric research. The satellite carries three payloads: MADRAS, SAPHIR, and SCARAB.

Analysis Description
SCARAB is a radiometer to measure the radiative flux at the top of the atmosphere. The instrument consists of two assemblies: the Optical Sensor Module (OSM) and the Electronic Module (EM). The SCARAB OSM SAPHIR is a microwave radiometer to scan the vertical profile and horizontal distribution of humidity. The instrument consists of two assemblieds: SAPHIR RF Unit (RFU) and SAPHIR Electronic Unit (EM).
