- Analysis Description
- The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) instrument provides high radiometric sensitivity (12 bit) in 36 spectral bands ranging in wavelength from 0.4 µm to 14.4 µm.
One major concern is the thermal distortions resulting from on-orbit thermal variations and from the heat loads generated by the electric modules and calibrators operating in a variety of modes and combinations. Thus, a series of analyses were performed to asses the structural, thermal and optical (STOP analysis) performance of the MODIS.
